I will do what it takes to build a better Florida, and make sure our voice is heard in Tallahassee. I look forward to working with state legislatures and paving the way for positive change in our area. Job creation and STEM education remain two of my top priorities.

“I commend my opponent, Jonathan Martin, for aspiring to make a difference and wish him well in his future endeavors,” says Fitzenhagen.

 “It feels great to know I have the support of the Southwest Florida community, and to know that they have the confidence in my ability to Build a Better Florida,” says Fitzenhagen.  She adds, “This primary win is a huge step for our campaign, but we still have a great deal of work to do in order to win the General Election on November 6. It is vital to get people back to work, provide support to small business owners, and utilize our natural resources to drive our economy.”

Fitzenhagen has received many noteworthy endorsements from leaders and organizations both local and statewide, including Florida Senator Lizabeth Benacquisto, Florida CFO Jeff Atwater, Sheriff Mike Scott, News-Press, Naples Daily News and the Florida Chamber of Commerce.

The newspapers praise Fitzenhagen’s pro-business plans for building a better Florida. The Naples Daily News says Fitzenhagen “brings an understanding of the issues and leadership — the ability to build constituencies to get things done. That already includes an impressive array of Republican and community support.”

The News-Press editorial board recommends Heather Fitzenhagen for voters to select in the August 14 primary, stating, “Fitzenhagen’s diverse experiences as an attorney, business owner and community volunteer give her a solid understanding of the issues facing Southwest Florida and District 78.” The Editorial board also added, “Fitzenhagen combines an open-minded approach with the ability to assertively make her voice — and that of Southwest Florida — heard.”

“The Naples Daily News and the News-Press serve our community on a daily basis, providing vital news and information in multimedia platforms,” says Fitzenhagen. “With the primary just around the corner and early voting starting Saturday, I feel fortunate to have been selected by the editorial boards, and have the support and confidence of our two daily publications.”

Early voting starts this Saturday, August 4^th, and runs until August 11^th, with the primary election on August 14^th.  

“I am grateful for the support of the association board members,” said Fitzenhagen. “The realtor associations serve many important businesses in our community, and our economic stability and growth is a critical issue that I am committed to working on as their representative in Tallahassee.”

The associations represent real estate agents and brokers throughout Lee County. The board members do not formally endorse candidates. The associations are non-partisan and all members may vote however they choose.

 ”I am proud to endorse Heather Fitzenhagen for state representative,” said Passidomo, a Republican who has represented District 76 in Naples since 2010.  “Heather has proven herself to be an advocate for the people of Fort Myers, and I’m confident she will work hard on their behalf as an elected official.”
